Scope-
This policy applies to all employees, job applicants, and clients of Pointlab Automotive Workforce.
Definitions
– Accessibility: Refers to the design and provision of products, services, and environments that can be used by all individuals, regardless of their disabilities.
– Disabilities:Refers to any degree of physical disability, infirmity, malformation, or disfigurement that is caused by bodily injury, birth defect, or illness and affects mobility, flexibility, dexterity, or cognitive functions.
Commitment to Accessibility
a. Pointlab Recruitment is committed to providing a barrier-free and inclusive workplace that respects the dignity and independence of individuals with disabilities.
b. We will ensure that all aspects of employment, including recruitment, selection, hiring, training, promotion, and accommodation, are conducted in a fair and accessible manner.
c. Our goal is to meet the accessibility needs of employees, job applicants, and clients with disabilities in a timely and effective manner.
Accessibility Accommodation Process
– Employees or job applicants requiring accommodations due to disabilities should inform their Human Resources Department. Such requests will be treated confidentially.
– Pointlab Recruitment will engage in an interactive process with the individual to assess the nature of the accommodation needed and identify suitable solutions.
– Reasonable accommodations will be provided, to the point of undue hardship, to enable employees and job applicants with disabilities to perform their essential job duties or participate in the application process.
Training and Awareness
– Pointlab Recruitment will provide training to all employees on AODA requirements and their responsibilities under this policy.
– Training will be provided during orientation for new employees and periodically for existing employees.
– Employees will also be informed about the availability of accessibility-related resources and support.
Use of Service Animals and Support Persons
– If a person with a disability is accompanied by a guide dog or other service animal, Pointlab Recruitment in Ontario will ensure that the person is permitted to enter in Ontario facility with the animal and to keep the animal with him or her unless the animal is otherwise excluded by law.
– Where a service animal is excluded by law, Pointlab Recruitment will ensure that other measures are available to enable the person with a disability to obtain, use and benefit from the Company’s goods and services. The service animal must be under the care and control of the individual at all times.
– If a person with a disability is accompanied by a support person, Pointlab Recruitment will ensure that both persons are permitted to enter our company facility, and that the person with a disability is not prevented from having access to the support person.
– Pointlab Recruitment may require a person with a disability to be accompanied by a support person when in a Company facility, but only if a support person is necessary to protect the health or safety of the person with a disability or the health or safety of others in the facility. In such a situation you must waive the admission fee or fare for the support person, if one exists.
Information and Communication
– Pointlab Recruitment will strive to provide information and communications in accessible formats upon request.
– We will ensure that our website and other electronic communications comply with applicable accessibility standards.
